Vetmedin 1.25mg Tablets are indicated to treat dogs with congestive heart failure caused by two types of heart disease: Mitral Valve Disease (MVD) and Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM).Vetmedin Tablets can also be used to treat dogs with asymptomatic MVD and Dobermans with asymptomatic DCM.
Each Vetmedin 1.25mg Tablet contains 1.25mg Pimobendan as the active substance.

Precautions
The safety of Vetmedin has not been established in dogs with asymptomatic heart disease or in heart failure caused by etiologies other than AVVI or DCM. The safe use of Vetmedin has not been evaluated in dogs younger than 6 months of age, dogs with congenital heart defects, dogs with diabetes mellitus or other serious metabolic diseases, dogs who breed, pregnant or lactating females.

Instructions
Recommended Dosage
Vetmedin is typically used twice daily or every twelve hours, but your veterinarian will decide the exact dosage that will work for your dog. Do not stop the medication or decrease the dose unless instructed to do so by your veterinarian. Your veterinarian may ask you to break Vetmedin in half.
Storage Instructions
Store at temperatures between 68ยฐ - 77ยฐF.
